Discovering Solar Punk Farms was a gift that continues to energize and inspire me long after this magical day of celebration. I was welcomed with open arms into their radiant space and community by Nick and Spencer – two humans so delightful they make my heart explode – on the day of their big queer love fest wedding. They married on the land they call home in Guerneville, where they are building a climate hub for queer community, youth, and all others who want to help create a more ecologically-minded world.

“In 2020, they took all their savings and invested it into a little degraded horse property in Guerneville, CA. Their goal was to put all their reading about regeneration into practice, and invite others along the journey. They decided to create a space that informed and inspired people towards a regenerative future. A space filled with tomatoes and chickens sure, but also science and ideas and activism and art and joy… One that shows that healing and stewarding the ecosystems we live in can be uplifting, enlightening, weird, sexy, more fulfilling and more fun than a life extracting from it. In other words, a demonstration site that makes the regenerative revolution seem irresistible.”
Countless friends and family contributed time and energy over many months to plant seeds, build structures, and prepare for this day. Vibrant flower creations were made by their friend and local florist Nick Gueli, and a gorgeous farm to table meal was lovingly prepared by Griffin Wilson. Every aspect of the day felt intentional and cared for. The sense of belonging and togetherness that they’ve cultivated in their community was palpable, and such a joy to witness. I’m endlessly grateful for being invited into the heart of this gathering. So much love! <3
