I don’t often find myself in a desert, so I was pretty excited about the cactus situation and the colors of this incredible canyon. But what really made this day beautiful was the intimacy and intention, the meaning of place — Rachel’s grandfather's home in Tucson, Arizona — and the honesty of their love.
On the morning of their wedding day, Rachel and Justin wanted to have some time together with their officiant to reflect on their relationship. They sat in the sun on a rock overlooking the canyon, near the place where her grandmother is buried. Needless to say, it was an incredibly special day to witness, and I was so glad to experience it with them and their dearest. Also they had an astronomer to end the night with star gazing. Dreamiest of days.
